A newsletter about philosophy, not just studying it, but applying it. And in doing so, discovering and defining your philosophy of life.
We all have one, it’s personal and different for each of us. But by comparing different worldviews, we can learn.
I understand philosophy as it originated. Philosophy: the love of knowledge.
This philosophical knowledge means the knowledge of everything. Science, pseudoscience, religion, cultures, beliefs, philosophy, nature, alchemy, the universe, common sense. Wisdom.
Everything is information and neutral.
The discovery of a path to truth, amidst the noise of infinite possibilities, is more like a journey to hell than a path to heaven. It has been an epic journey to get to this point, and it still is. The journey will never end... just another chapter, the first as a writer.
The idea is to share the results, my conclusions, obtained while reflecting on life and the universe. My best possible answers to all questions.
This newsletter consists of short essays, the "Ask a Philosopher" section, philosophical quotes and their meanings, and sometimes personal notes. Profound, yet simple.
All based on my philosophy described in my book. What book? you might ask... Good question. Don't worry, I won’t try to sell you my book.
As a subscriber, I'll share the ebook with you for free. It will make you think, I believe.
It is my Natural Philosophy of life and love, and the foundation of the worldview of this newsletter.
WHO AM I?
What I think is what defines me.
That is what I am. I am just a human being traveling on this planet for a long time...
All my life, I have lived in and visited different countries, learning various cultures and belief systems.
Always learning, thinking, and exploring the universe. I share my observations and conclusions. You decide what I am as you read.
I consider myself an infinite human being, living in a temporary male body, currently trapped on this planet. But if you want a label, just think of me as a philosopher.
Someone who loves all knowledge and applies that knowledge.
Someone who does something daily becomes that something. You can also read philosophy and not apply it. Are you then a philosopher?
Everyone can be a philosopher with the right mindset. It’s an attitude.
I have been doing it all my life. I asked a lot of questions as a child and was never satisfied with the answers, so I had to create my best possible answers.
I still follow the same procedure, but with science and logical thinking as my guide.
My goal is to find and define the best possible answers to all of humanity's questions. I know it’s an impossible task, an infinite task...
But I can always try, I have until my departure to get it right. For now, I have found a better possible answer.
It works for me, but ideas in the mind are always perfect, so the next step was to write the temporary conclusions and materialize them in a brief introductory book.
I had to become a writer.
Over the past few years, I wrote essays that form the basis of my philosophy in a coherent framework of thoughts.
I grew up with notebooks and pencils. I still write the old-fashioned way. There is nothing better than going to the park with a notebook and colored pens and writing about whatever you want, relaxed with dark glasses, enjoying the sun.
A book, I managed to finish it. Years ago. I never shared it with anyone.
But I feel the time is right. I never stopped working on it. I wrote it in English, my least known language. But I like it for philosophy because I can explain complex ideas with simple words.
Then I translated it into Spanish, and in doing so, the English version improved. Then into Dutch. Now I understand my philosophy and did my best to write it clearly and simply.
This newsletter is a starting point, but also a destination.
It complements what is described in my book. I don’t use social media. I think I’m a bit old-fashioned, maybe ancient.
So I think I’ll try email instead of Morse code.
Until tAMhe next edition, when we really begin...
With love,
Adrian
